South African model Tshego Gaelae (33) was crowned the winner of the 40th Mrs. World pageant in Las Vegas, United States on Thursday, 30 January.
Mrs. World was the first beauty pageant for married women, founded in 1984.
Gaelae is an admitted attorney working as a Group B-BBEE & Labour Relations Manager.
She is enthusiastic about assisting women and children who have experienced domestic violence. She is also involved with her own NGO We Are Our Children’s Keepers which gathers funds to give needy schoolchildren essential goods such as school shoes, uniforms, stationery, and accessories.
She also creates influential content for brands on her social media platforms, as well as educational content for her YouTube page, My Lawyer’s Corner.
Sri Lanka’s Ishadi Amanda was named first runner-up, with Thailand’s Ploy Panperm taking second place.
Gaelae acknowledged her gratitude for her win on Instragram.
“To God Be The Glory🙌🏽👑🇿🇦🙏🏽. Thank you so much for the love and support, I am beyond grateful and elated! My beautiful South Africa, the crown is coming Home,” wrote Gaelae.
