The Black Coffee Foundation is gearing up to launch its back-to-school project, focused on giving learners the support they need to thrive.
The Black Coffee Foundation was established in 2010 in Maponya Mall, where Nkosinathi Maphumulo performed a 60-hour DJ set.
The foundation is dedicated to assisting and raising South Africa’s destitute and disabled people by examining their requirements and meeting those needs in a sustainable manner that fosters education, independence, and social integration.
Taking to social media, the DJ announced that his organisation will launch the back-to-school initiative soon. The initiative is in partnership with the Hollywood Foundation
“School is where dreams begin. It’s where young minds are shaped, curiosity is nurtured and futures are built. At the Black Coffee Foundation, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities.
“Through our Back-to-School Project, we’re committed to making sure every child has what they need to start the school year strong. Let’s work together to give them the tools to dream, learn, and achieve,” wrote Black Coffee.
Black Coffee plans to start a music college through his foundation
In November 2024, Black Coffee shared through his foundation that he is planning to establish a music college. He shared that they are in the process of starting the fundraising for the initiative:
“I am about to do a project that is close to my heart, which is a music college. We have started having meetings about that. We are going to start doing fundraising internationally in the places where I mostly perform. We are going to try to raise funds so that I can build the college,” he said.
