Miss Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina was named first runner-up at final in Mexico, she also made history as the first Miss Nigeria to place in the top five at Miss Universe.
Miss Denmark Victoria Kjaer Theilvig won the title when the Miss Universe 2024 beauty pageant came to an end in Mexico City on Sunday morning.
Miss Egypt Logina Salah was the first woman with vitiligo to compete in the pageant, while 40-year-old Miss Malta Beatrice Njoya was the oldest woman to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

Theilvig, 21, a dancer who has competed in European and World Championships, a beauty entrepreneur, a mental health advocate, and an aspiring lawyer, wants to be a force for good and speak up for those who aren’t heard.
During the pageant’s swimsuit round, she declared, “I have been waiting for this moment my entire life.”This year’s Miss Universe event, which is in its 73rd year, featured intense competition amongst 126 competitors from around the world, including 18 from African countries like Nigeria, Angola, and Egypt.
