With Gugulethu Mfuphi jetting off to the US for 2-months, rest assured your Kaya Biz matters are in the safe hands of Economic and Strategic Advisor, Refilwe Moloto.
With 20 years of experience in Emerging & Frontier Markets economics, fixed income research and global asset management Moloto, a coastal girl by birth and heart, is looking forward to this stint to enjoy the springtime sunsets of the Highveld.
Born in Umlazi, Durban but residing in Cape Town, Refilwe left behind her firstborn, Queen Latifah Moloto (the world’s greatest French Bulldog) to stand in on Kaya Biz.
“This partnership has been a few years in the making, so I’m glad management and I were able to find a way to combine our efforts seamlessly.
Kaya 959 is a landmark station in Gauteng, with veteran broadcasters I’ve admired since high school, as well as fresh voices I’ve worked with or observed proudly from afar.
It’s an honour to make a small contribution amongst them.
Also, imagine an office where we’re not all isolated by headphones because it’s our business to play our favourite jams. That’s a win-win!”
Refilwe Moloto currently chairs the Investment Committee of Maia Capital Partners and is a non-executive director of Perpetua Investment Managers.
She was previously an Expert Member of the Eskom Pension & Provident Fund’s Strategic Investment Committee and held senior roles at then Investec Asset Management (now Ninety One) and Merrill Lynch & Co (now Bank of America).
Refilwe is passionate about Africa and focused on developmental investment solutions as a commentator on strategic economic and financial market development in Africa.
The Kaya Biz stand-in presenter was the first black woman to host a commercial talk radio breakfast show in Africa on Cape Talk.
Breakfast with Refilwe Moloto won the South African talk radio breakfast show award, solidifying Refilwe’s undisputed prowess as a broadcaster.
Don’t miss Refilwe Moloto on Kaya Biz Mondays to Thursdays from 18h00 to 20h00.
