“This tribute will celebrate her remarkable career and her pivotal role in shaping the arts landscape in South Africa.
The star will be unveiled as a symbol of her enduring impact and as a testament to her contributions to the cultural heritage of our nation.

More details about the posthumous tribute to Mam’ Connie will be shared.
Despite her stardom, Mam’ Connie wanted to be remembered for whatever impact she had in people’s lives.
Acknowledging that every individual whose path she crossed will have their own view about her, the legacy she left with them and the impact on their lives, Mam’ Connie said she could not tell people how to remember her.
The Chiume family will share further details regarding Mam’ Connie’s memorial and funeral service and thanked the public for all the messages of support and condolences during this difficult time.
