Mo Flava recently celebrated his 40th birthday, and his wife Mbali made sure to mark the occasion with a special celebration.
Mbali organized a surprise party for Mo, who was told to dress up for his sister’s 35th birthday. When they arrived at the venue, Mo was greeted with cheers and well wishes from the guests.
“Unforgettable. I am truly blessed. Here’s a vantage point from my cousin,” he said about the experience.
Since announcing his marriage, the radio personality has kept his marriage under wraps. Speaking to Podcast and Chill recently, Mo shared a bit of married life, saying it “has been good. I love my wife.”
He also revealed that he met her at a Rock The Girls party. Rock The Girls were parties hosted by MacG and Mo Flava during their early days on radio.
“Rock The Girls was crazy because it started out as lingo. The meaning extended to many different things. We started using this Rock The Gils phrase on air, and it started to catch on, and listeners were vibing. It was right around the time when Facebook was starting to kick in in the country. Social media became a great platform on which we could grow this brand. Our first party was in Fourways, and the club was full around 7. I remember Selimathunzi being there, covering the party,” explained Mo Flava.
