Musa Mseleku‘s son, Mpumelelo, has had a bumpy journey into polygamy. Since starting his reality television career, Mpumelelo has been open about his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps, but with his own unique twist.
On the reality show Izingane Zesthembu, viewers saw Mpumelelo juggling life with his two girlfriends and other love interests outside of their polygamous relationship.
In the latest season, Mpumelelo dropped a bombshell on his two girlfriends – he won’t be choosing either of them as his first wife because he wants his first wife to be a virgin.
The new season didn’t give much insight into who the preferred first wife It seems like the upcoming season of Izingane Zesthembu will focus on her, especially since Vuyokasi has moved on and found love elsewhere.
A few months ago, Mpumelelo took to social media to introduce his potential first wife to the world.
During a podcast interview with Gogo Skhotheni last year, Mpumelelo clarified that his decision to date multiple women is not an attempt to please his father. He simply wants to embrace his own path and create a loving and fulfilling family life.
“We have a lot of girlfriends, and then there would be one you choose as a woman you could take home to introduce to the family. You can’t just have one girlfriend and make that girl your wife, only for that person to betray you. You have to date a lot of women before choosing.
“I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me to be a polygamist. If I was doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won’t say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has.”
