Limpopo-born rapper Shebeshxt recently announced his long-awaited comeback to music following a tragic accident that took the life of his daughter and left him hospitalized.
The incident occurred in early June in Limpopo. According to his social media posts, the rapper will be back in action starting in August with a few confirmed gigs.
Shebeshxt explains why he doesn’t have a bodyguard
Since his breakthrough, Shebeshxt has been driving himself to gigs and doesn’t have security or bodyguards.
Recently speaking to rapper turned podcaster L Tido, Shebe explained why he doesn’t have any security.
He told L-Tido that having personal security won’t guarantee his safety, as he believes they will always serve the highest bidder.
“The guys that I am with are my bodyguards. Where I come from, we live with loyalty because love fades. A bodyguard is someone that I don’t know personally, but they probably know who I am. For example, if I am paying him R10,000 every week and someone offers him more than that for my life, don’t you think he’ll betray me?”
