Rapper Shebeshxt who failed to make an appearance in court for his pre-trial over a count of attempted murder will need to present a medical certificate for his next court date.
Lehlogonolo Chauke better known as Shebeshxt was expected to appear in court this week to face charges against him but is said to reportedly still be recovering since being discharged from hospital following his tragic car accident on 08 June.
The Limpopo-born rapper who survived the fatal crash which claimed the life of his 9-year old daughter, left Shebe in hospital and requiring surgery.
Shebeshxt was discharged from hospital on 02 July, but attended his daughter’s funeral in a wheelchair on 22 June.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Limpopo spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said the pre-trial against Shebeshxt has been postponed to all him to provide a medical certificate for missing his court appearance.
“The accused Lehlogonolo Chauke ” Shebeshxt” has appeared in absentia at Lebowakgomo Regional Court for pre-trial on count of attempted murder.
The accused could not attend court proceedings due to his sickness. The court postponed the matter to 19 July 2024 to enable him to provide medical certificate to show his inability to attend court.”
Shebeshxt is facing charges related to a case that was opened against him in 2022, during which the rapper is accused of stabbing a man in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.
In June 2023, the popular artist was remanded in custody after allegedly stabbing three people in Limpopo.
Shebe is also facing two counts for discharging a firearm after allegedly firing 4 shots in the air at a family home in Ga-Mamaola village Limpopo in April last year.
