His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has called for a special meeting of all Amakhosi of the Kingdom of KwaZulu Natal.
According to a statement released by the Royal family, this meeting comes at a time when there are serious threats to the survival of INGONYAMA TRUST.
“His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has called for a special meeting of all Amakhosi of the Kingdom of Kwazulu Natal. This meeting comes at a time when there are serious threats to the survival of INGONYAMA TRUST amid continued efforts to take away the land under control of Amakhosi, who hold this land in trust on behalf of the Zulu people.
Details of the meeting are as follows: Date: Thursday, 23 May 2024 Venue: Old Legislative Assembly, Ulundi Time: 10h00
This meeting will be the first step towards the convening of ‘ISIBAYA’ which will be a national gathering of all Zulus at KwaKhangelamankengane Palace.”

The most recent development in the Zulu Royal house happened on Thursday (17 May) when Prince Mbonisi Zulu—the uncle of Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini—won the initial court case to limit His Majesty’s authority over the Ingonyama Trust’s operations.
Prince Mbonisi Zulu wss requesting that the Pietermaritzburg High Court halt monarch Misuzulu’s ability to govern the Ingonyama Trust, which is overseen by the monarch as the only trustee and spans more than 2,8 million hectares of territory in KwaZulu-Natal.
