Rapper Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye will be back in court on 23 April after the rape case against him has been postponed yet again.
Making an appearance in court on Tuesday, 12 March the former Uyajola 9/9 presenter’s case was postponed for representations.
The matter was previously postponed for the submission of representations, which are now accessible, however these were supposed to have been submitted to the office of the director of public prosecutions.
Jub Jub faces 13 counts of rape, attempted murder, indecent assault, assault with intent to cause griveous bodily ham, and kidnapping.
In July 2023, Jub Jub who has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him, handed himself over to police after he was tipped off about the charges against him, and was released on bail of R10 000.
The charges against Jub Jub were allegedly committed between 2006 and 2010 and have been brought forward by four women.
Initially, the 43-year-old was only charged with three counts of rape, two counts of attempted murder, and assault.
However, the National Prosecuting Authority said there were several other charges from three other women who came forward that are related to the rapper.
The four women who came forward are Amanda du Pont, Kelly Khumalo, Masechabe Khumalo, and a woman who is related to Jub Jub.
Both Amanda and Kelly have been in relationships with the rapper, with Kelly sharing a son with Jub Jub.
