Billionaire businessman Vivian Reddy is offering R5 million to anyone who can prove he’s bribing ANC officials in KwaDukuza, KwaZulu-Natal.

In a video, Vivian the owner of KwaDukuza Mall has slammed the allegations against him as a malicious lie and has asked anyone who has proof of his alleged shady dealings to go forward to the police.

Amongst the allegations against Vivian is that he is footing the legal bill of suspended KwaDukuza Municipality CFO, Shamir Rajcoomar.

Rajcoomar was placed on precautionary suspension in 2023 on allegations of financial impropriety, after holding the office for 17-years.

Denying the allegations, Rajcoomar says he’s a victim of political squabbles between ANC members vying for control of the municipality’s purse strings.

Rajcoomar says two ANC officials bypassed him to fraudulently award a R30 million tender for the repair of bridges.

Echoing Rajcoomar’s assertions, Vivian Reddy offers the R5 million reward because he says he is determined to not let anyone sully his name.

“This message is to the people of KwaDukuza and the greater iLembe District Municipality, it has come to my attention that there has been vile, malicious, fake allegations against.

One being that I’ve paid Shamir Rajcoomar’s legal fees.

That I’ve paid certain councillors R6 million each, and that I’ve even made certain ANC officials certain amount of monies.

These allegations are absolutely fake and I am so determined to come to the bottom of this truth that I want to give a reward to anyone who comes up with proof that I’ve made any such payments, you will be rewarded with R5 million.

All you have to do is go to the local police station, produce a signed affidavit of my involvement, and bring in proof of such involvement and you will get paid no questions asked.

These malicious rumours are emanating from the in-battles between ANC members and I want no part of it. You’ve got to fight your battles without wrongfully involving my name for your own benefit.”

Vivian Reddy has slammed the allegations he’s bribing ANC officials as malicious and fake

Vivian Reddy invested R500 million in the development of the KwaDukuza Mall which has created over 1 000 jobs, and says he plans on investing more money into the mall to create even more jobs.
