Counterfeit goods worth over R100 million were seized in Cape Town.
Over R100 million worth of counterfeit goods have been seized by Cape Town police after a search warrant for a shopping complex near the Belville taxi rank was obtained.
Police claim that after a search warrant was carried out, truckloads of counterfeit apparel, jewelry, and fragrances were found.
Building owners and landlords who are aware of illicit activities taking place on their property are forewarned by Lt Gen (Adv) TE Patekile, the Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape police, that the SAPS is also keeping an eye on them.

Additionally, thirty cars were kept in the complex’s parking lot as inventory was taken in.
