“We need to get behind her ” – Cassper Nyovest urges Mzansi to support ‘Water” hitmaker Tyla.
South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has urged all South Africans to support rising superstar Tyla, who is breaking new ground internationally.
Tyla—full name Tyla Laura Seethal made headlines this week when her song ‘Water’ became the first SA song in 55 years to be on the Billboard Hot 100.
Master KG’s record was broken by Tyla’s song “Water,” making her the first South African musician to attain 8.3 million monthly listens on Spotify. The love she has received has increased internationally and she has made history with her hit song.
The song’s music video, which was posted to YouTube last week, has received over 4.9 million views in just six days.

Nyovest congratulated the 21-year-old and asked South Africans to support her on his Instagram stories.
“She’s gone!!! We need to get behind her as a nation and support her!!! A young South African star,” wrote Nyovest
