Real Housewives of Durban’s Jojo Robinson finds herself being under constant scrutiny for being heavily tattooed.
The reality star who is married to multi-millionaire Calven Robinson, has tattoos on most of her body, including both arms and legs, her neck, back and tummy.
Robinson said most of the judgements about her tattoos come from people who don’t know her.
Comfortable in her heavily tattooed skin, the mother of one said she is not going through life trying to please everybody else, sharing that tattoos make her happy.
“You’re not really free until you are free from trying to please everybody. Judgement from others is not your burden to carry.
Being heavily tattooed like this, I find myself constantly at the scrutiny of people who know nothing about me. But at the end of the day, it’s not my business to care.
It is my business to continue to live a life filled with all the magical things I choose to do with it. As long as I hurt no one in my journey, what does it really matter what I do?
Being free of caring is the reason I find rainbows in everything, because I am happy, and happiness is what you perceive it to be.
Also, tattoos make me happy.”
Five days ago, Jojo Robinson revealed her completed second leg sleeve, which she says was worth the months of pain.
It took more than a year to complete the full leg, which has heavy blocks of ink. Robinson says this style of tattoo is a lot more invasive to the skin, takes longer to heal, and is so much more painful.
But, the ink-lover says her latest sleeve is exactly what she wanted, and is happy with the results now that it’s completely healed.
