Actress Gail Mabalane reflects on her collaboration with Vuyo Dabula in the acclaimed South African Netflix original series, Unseen.
On this Throwback Thursday, Mabalane shared a glimpse into her experiences alongside Dabula with the hashtag #ForeverYena. The image she posted captures a moment of her character, Zenzi with Dabula’s portrayal.
Unseen, a compelling six-part crime thriller, weaves a tale centered around Zenzele, a seemingly inconspicuous domestic worker, as she embarks on a mission to locate her vanished husband. Her journey unfolds against a backdrop of formidable and menacing criminal forces.
The series boasts an impressive ensemble, with the likes of Rapulana Seiphemo, Colin Moss, Shimmy Isaacs, and Dineo Langa joining the ranks alongside Vuyo Dabula. This star-studded cast brings their remarkable skills to the fore.
In the month of February this year, Gail and Kabelo Mabalane marked an incredible milestone: a decade of marriage.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to his wife, Kabelo expressed that their love journey, while not exempt from imperfections, serves as a testament to the existence of genuine affection.
“This love will inject honey into your soul, it will feel like warmth has cracked within your bones. And you will see how it learns you, fights for you, and stays to weather the storms by your side.
Kabelo continued, “You will be reminded that there is a connection in a world that often chooses distance over depth.”
He further shared that their love brings forth a sense of hope. “Let’s keep dancing to the unforced rhythms of His Grace,” Kabelo wrote to his wife Gail.
