Actress and television presenter, Candice Modiselle recently got baptized as a symbol of her commitment to God. Modiselle noted that as she gets older and wiser, she has decided to “not be casual about the things of The Kingdom.”
Modiselle explained that this public declaration was an affirmation of her commitment to, “helping young people discover that they too are fearfully and wonderfully made, set apart, loved, called, and chosen as the righteous sons and daughters of the Almighty.”
During a recent sit-down interview on Mpoomy Ledwaba’s Wisdom and Wellness podcast, the 28-year-old shared that she felt a divine calling from God amidst what many considered a successful career. Despite achieving recognition in her industry, Modiselle admitted to feeling unfulfilled.
“In the midst of an industry that is deeply eroded, there are so many things going on, and God said, I am not going to leave you.
“He snatched me when there were so many things going on. You get to a place where you see what the template of success is. But I was so unfulfilled. I got to a place where everyone was saying, You are killing it now.’
But inside, I felt like I hadn’t achieved anything meaningful. At the beginning of this year, I felt like a fraud. It is crazy to feel like a fraud when people are applauding you for the things you are doing well,” expressed Modiselle.
“Host, Mpoomy Ledwaba related her own experiences related to following a higher calling. “And then you get to a certain space where you are invited to follow that thing. And you are no longer begging for it, you are invited, and it is clear. And then you start following, but slowly you start to lose yourself,” she added.
