SNAPS! Lorna Maseko serves US singer Omarion magwinya and atchar in Hollywood.
South African chef, media personality and former ballet dancer Lorna Maseko is preparing meals for some of Hollywood’s biggest artist, and is bring the authentic flavour of Mzansi with every dish.
She recently hosted her very first pop up in Los Angeles and designed a uniquely South African menu.
The menu was served to Hollywood A-listers such as Ice Box hitmaker Omarion include magwinya, venison carpaccio, gemere sorbet, pickled fish broth along with 7 colours.

Maseko’s journey with cuisine went to another level with the publication of her cookbook and the hosting of the BBC Lifestyle program Homegrown Tastes South Africa, which debuted in March of last year.
She shared snaps of the event which was supported by Brand South Africa and Amarula on social media.
‘This week I hosted my first pop up in Los Angeles, California celebrating South African food and showcasing my beautiful country and heritage.’
