Action SA has said If Executive Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda does not provide clarification on the specifics of the criminal allegations made against him,they will be bringing a motion of no confidence against him.
Mpho Phalatse of the Democratic Alliance (DA) accused Gwamanda of being involved in a Ponzi scheme shortly after taking office exactly one month ago.
Phalatse asserted that she was in touch with the people Gwamanda allegedly cheated of their money.

Majola said they expected him to account to the people of the City of Johannesburg.
“You would remember that a day after the State of The Province address we had released a statement requesting the Executive Mayor to use this opportunity to come out at address the allegations of fraud made against him.”
“When I am speaking to a lot of people, I saying this because you might be asking yourself this as well. Some people spoke on his behalf and said he has nothing to do with this, but in a State of the City address it is a formal platform where he should account.”
