“She nailed it” – Limpopo woman shocks everyone after using R20 for her acrylic nails.
Nail technician are pushing the boundaries when it comes to unique designs, some of which are resulting in a big debate on social media.
A recent one has left tongues wagging, after a Tiktoker who reportedly owns a nail shop in Limpopo published the one-of-a-kind design sending social media fans into an instant frenzy.
It was the R20 banknote, that was chopped into piece, and used as part of the acrylic nail design that got eyes popping.
It was also a concern that the nail technician didn’t consider that it is a criminal offence to “deface, soil or damage any banknote”. Some social media users where also seen tagging the SA Reserve Bank.

Did you know Acrylic nails were started by a dentist?
Frederick Slack, a dentist, experimented with chemicals and various materials to make an artificial-looking nail to cover his old, damaged one in the 1950s. He used dental acrylics. However, Dr. Stuart Nordstrom created the expert liquid and powder system used in acrylics in the late 1970s.
