Chris Rock’s chilling response to Will Smith’s Oscar slap.
Comedian Chris Rock has finally addressed, what has widely been dubbed as “the slap heard around the world,” nearly a year after actor Will Smith slapped the comedian on stage at the 2022 Academy Awards.
Chris Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith while presenting an honour at the Oscars the year before.
Smith shocked viewers by entering the Oscars stage and striking the presenter in a tense and shocking onstage fight.
On Sunday, Rock discussed the couple in his new Netflix special “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.”
‘Cause everybody knows what the f— happened. Everybody that really knows, knows I had nothing to do with that s—. I didn’t have any entanglements,” he said.
“And for people that don’t know what everybody know(s)… his wife was f—ing her son’s friend, OK? Now, I normally would not talk about this s— but for some reason, these n—– put that s— on the Internet.” said Rock.
