Mxolisi Dukwana has been elected as the new ANC Free State provincial chairperson.
The ANC Free State has elected Mxolisi Dukwana as its new leader.
In a fiercely contested provincial election, Dukwana narrowly defeated Sisi Ntombela, the current Free State Premier.
Point of View with Phemelo Motene spoke to Mxollisi Dukwana following his election.

Mxolisi Dukwana, who oversaw the ANC Free State’s interim provincial committee (IPC) for nearly two years, has now been chosen to serve as the region’s chairperson.

The Free State ANC’s 2018 conference, which elected Sam Mashinini, a supporter of former provincial chairperson Ace Magashule, as chairperson, was later ruled illegal by the Supreme Court of Appeal, creating a leadership void for the party in the region. This led to the appointment of the IPC.
