South African rapper Cassper Nyovest wins his first-ever GQ Award.
This past Saturday, the man affectionately known as Mufasa scooped the Entertainer of the Year at the prestigious GQ Awards.
The rapper notes that it is “one of the few accolades he had not won in his remarkable career.”
Cassper celebrated at his late friend, DJ Sumbody’s establishment, Ayepyep.
It was the first time Cassper visited the club since Sumbody’s tragic passing.
“It’s obviously not the same and I can’t stop thinking about the one guy that should’ve been here with us but man did you leave a beautiful legacy. What a joint! What a lifestyle!!! Accommodating to all ! RIP legend. Sum B. You are missed,” wrote the rapper.
Another notable winner at the GQ Awards is mam Connie Chiume. She received a lifetime achievement award – her third this year.
