Ice Cube says refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine cost him a R153 M movie role.
Ice Cube has clarified how his decision to forgo the COVID-19 vaccine affected his financial situation.
The rapper allegedly refused producers’ requests to get vaccinated, according to production sources who were interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter in October.
He apparently missed out on a part in the Sony comedy Oh Hell No as a result.
One year after the reports originally surfaced, he confirmed information was accurate.

The West Coast rap legend appeared on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast on November 20 where he explained the situation.
He said “I turned down a movie because I didn’t wanna get the motherfking jab. I turned down $9 million (R153 miilion) because I didn’t want to get the jab. Fk that jab, and fk y’all for trying to make me get it.”
“I don’t know how Hollywood feel about me right now,”
“I didn’t turn $9 million (R153 million) down. Them motherfkers wouldn’t give it to me because I wouldn’t get the shot. I didn’t turn it down. They just didn’t give it to me,” he clarified.
