Ever wondered how your colleagues know you’ve arrived at work before you’ve even walked through the office door?
According to Andy Maqondwana on Feel Good, every workplace has its own familiar characters, and whether you realise it or not, you’re probably one of them.
“You know they always say that people must never know your next move, which means that you mustn’t be predictable as a person. But the one place I can guarantee you’re the most predictable is at your workplace,” Andy said.
After spending hours together every day, colleagues become experts at picking up on each other’s habits. In fact, they may know things about you that you haven’t even noticed yourself.
From the way you greet everyone in the morning to the sound of your footsteps in the passage or the music blasting from your car as you drive into the parking lot, most people have a signature entrance that gives them away before anyone even sees them.
So, what gives you away?
Are you the person who always hugs everyone and greets every colleague by name? Do you sing as you walk into the office? Or are you known for your signature scent that lingers wherever you go?
