Are familiar with Footgolf? Well, SA is the first country in the continent recognised by the international federation of the new sport.
The name of the game, which combines the two sports but is more closely related to golf, is a portmanteau of the words “football” and “golf.”
A mixture of professional football players from the Netherlands and Belgium participated in the world’s first footgolf competition, which was organized in the Netherlands by Michael Jansen and Bas Korsten.
Following this, several nations started to plan games, activities, competitions, and even national leagues and associations around this sport.
