Do you hang out in other people’s heads wondering what they think of you? Well, you are not alone, many of us spend too much time worrying about people’s opinions about us.
This could be because we are trying to create safety for ourselves but we’re actually doing the opposite.
Such behavior can stem from one being a people pleaser and seeking approval from others.
Siya tells Tbose that he stopped caring about what other people care about him when he was 15-years-old. “At some point in my life, my whole body got burnt. I realised that this is who I am and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m trying to instill this in my daughter who’s struggling with self-confidence,” he shared.
Castro recently started standing up for himself. “I grew up letting people do whatever they felt to me. But since the year started I haven’t given them access. This is my life.”
Gift says that it’s about knowing your worth.
“What I want to say is that it all starts with knowing your worth. Once you know your worth you stop caring about what other people say about you. people will always find something to pull you down. If you pay attention to that it’ll pull you down and make you don’t yourself,” he said.
Here’s what some listeners are saying on social on social media:
You wonder when you want people to have a certain opinion about you,if it matters to you.
