Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa’s fans have joined women’s rights groups in showing her support following her latest court appearance.
The actress was in court on Monday to file a protection order against her estranged husband, Nkosinathi ‘Black Coffee’ Maphumulo.
Black Coffee was also in attendance.
Enhle turned to the courts after an altercation at their former marital home, where she lives with their sons.
She accused Black Coffee of slapping her on the wrist when he tried to gain entry to the Sandton home in March.

He was allegedly upset that she threw a party at the home without his permission.
“Nathi asked me why I was throwing a dinner without his permission. I then asked why I needed his permission and he said because it’s his house. I then told him it’s our home and am puzzled. He then threatened to call the cops to shut it down,” the Daily Sun quoted Enhle as saying in court papers.
She added that Black Coffee then asked her why she had her hand on the door.
“I asked if he was being serious. He started raising his voice. I asked him to stop and he hit my hand and pushed me.”
The Randburg Magistrate’s Court heard Enhle’s protection order case on Monday.
Judgement was reserved in the matter. Their next court appearance is on April 28.
Several women’s rights groups held silent protests outside to show their support for the actress.
Enhle’s fans took to social media to share messages of support.
“In this house we believe in victims, Enhle Mbali we believe you and your story is valid although the media and other personalities are distancing themselves from the issue because of the level of popularity Black Coffee has just know that you not alone,” one fan tweeted.

Meanwhile, Black Coffee took to Twitter to accuse Enhle of misleading the public.
“I personally grew up witnessing GBV in my own household and from a young age I vowed never to allow that to happen again under any circumstances. I DID NOT assault Mbali, the mother of my children. I didn’t do it now and I have never done It before.
“It is truly regrettable that she has chosen to mislead the public using the name of GBV and seeking a protection order against me to [separate] me from my children and our home.”

Divorce is never easy but for us it has been especially painful and I've spent the last 3 years in and out of intense therapy to deal with it privately.
Everyday I am attacked by relentless lies and falsehoods.
