The video is from a restaurant shoot in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul’s municipality of Jaboticaba.
According to the Brazilian news site Globo, the shooting killed two people, including civil police commissioner Fabiano Ribeiro Menezes, and the suspect was arrested at the scene.
Local police reported the violent “Bedfordview” video: the altercation began with a disagreement at one of the restaurant’s tables, and things soon escalated.

The perpetrator walks away but stays in the picture after the first shot, and Menezes follows him while drawing his pistol. According to Globo, the officer tried to arrest the perpetrator, who retaliated by firing two more rounds, and Menezes returned fire.
Both were injured during the shooting. According to Aline Dequi Palma, a Brazilian police officer, the officer died from his injury on the way to the hospital, while the suspect was hospitalized but is not in critical condition. Menezes joined the Civil Police in 1993, starting at the Rodeio Bonito Police Station before moving to Jaboticaba. In, he was named commissioner.
