Twitter was lit on Wednesday morning after a video showing Uncle Waffles playing her set with what some deemed as an ‘inappropriate’ dress code for a DJ went viral.
In the video, the DJ can be seen playing her set with her underwear showing.
Social media was divided as to whether that is appropriate or not.
“Love Uncle Waffles Red heart I am not sure about her g-string game though,” wrote one Twitter user who shared the video.

Other tweeps were quick to jump in.
“Why do you need to be sure about another person’s underwear, do you have an inherent IQ deficiency? I’m trying to understand your thought process and how you concluded that you need to understand another person’s underwear?” wrote another user.

DJ Zinhle and DJ Lamiez defend Uncle Waffles
Two prominent South African female DJs have defended Uncle Waffles.
DJ Zinle said people need to learn to let other people be.
“It’s on her body, so it’s okay. She hasn’t asked anyone else to wear it. If you don’t like it that’s also okay but let’s learn to let people be,” wrote Zinhle.

She questioned whether what Uncle Waffles wears affects her sound?
“Why? Her outfit changes the sound/music yini? Nisho phela. People? So you haven’t paid for any of her shows but you have so much to say. Ay niyanyisana nina,” Zinhle wrote.
