A religious group representing more than a thousand churches in the country started a class-action lawsuit process over the water crisis in Hammanskraal.
The Active African Christian United Movement says it wants the court to hold the City of Tshwane accountable for the murder of a large number of people in Hammanskraal.
The decision to take action happened after 20 people died after the cholera outbreak.
The church group says that the number of recorded deaths is incorrect.
The Spokesperson, Advocate MoAfrika waMaila says the churches are receiving notices of others dying in their homes. These deaths are not accounted for by the Gauteng Health Department.
