This past Friday, Thomas called TT Mbha live on the show because he believes he gave him the flu.
Many people have been complaining about this weird flu in recent days on social media.
“What is your mindset these days when you have flu? Do you assume it’s COVID-19 and take the necessary precautions, or does your life continue as normal as long as you don’t have COVID symptoms?” Thomas and Skhumba ask the Kaya family In The Morning.

Pontsho shares, “I’ve had this flu for the past month twice already; I’m going to start taking medication. My mom has had it. The first time I had it, I started thinking it was Covid, but I haven’t gotten tested.
“I had Covid at the beginning of the year; I recovered and got the jab. It’s the normal flu that I know,” she said.
A Kaya listener revealed that her friend almost died from the flu. “I had the flu last week. My chest was so sore, and my friend almost died – she hadn’t gotten vaccinated. I got the jab, and my symptoms weren’t that bad,” she said.
Rose says people must not take this flu that has been spreading rapidly lightly.
“This smaller nyana flu, don’t take it lightly. I just came out of isolation. I tested and got the shock of my life – I tested positive. My daughter also had the smaller nyana flu symptoms and tested positive during exams,” she cautioned.
Kabelo also attests to the flu. “My husband is not well. He doesn’t have the voice; his nose is blocked. The flu is there, bagithi,” she said.
