While inventions exist to solve significant problems and annoyances, we don’t have designs that deal with our daily pet peeves.
It seems as though we are too focused on products people want and not products that people need.
In 2021, why do we still need to go to the licensing department to renew licenses? Why can’t we do it online?
Why do we still not have an app to screen how long someone will talk during a work meeting?
A listener shares that he’d like to see an app that can detect people with smelly armpits.
“As far as inventions are concerned, you walk into a taxi, and there are smelly armpits, but no one owns up to it. Can someone please invent something like a Shazam to help us find the person with the smelly armpits,” he said.
Another listener said that she needs an App that helps one detect witchcraft.

- Instant Heartbreaker Healer: We all need something that can at least help us move on without crying ourselves to sleep, not eating, and telling anyone who cares to listen how heartbroken we are.
- We have electric blankets and hot water bottles to keep us warm in the winter but no bed coolers for the summer. Someone needs to invent a pillow and bed that can cool us during hot nights.
- Locator for missing things: Don’t we all need this one? We have lost keys, remote controls, earrings; you name it. It’s time we create a missing things locator. We waste so much time looking for these things. Can you imagine just how easy life would be if finding our items was a button away?
