Within a day of taking to Twitter to post that he is living large in New York City, Somizi is done with the toxicity.
The high-flying socialite and media personality shared that he “is just not that as strong as some people on the app” and can’t deal with the toxic environment. This after posting several snaps and videos of himself taking to the streets of the Big Apple.
After receiving several negative comments for his wardrobe choices, Somizi logged off the app with a final message to his followers.
“All I’m saying was that I’m not coming back here, it was nice when I took a break. Bye. Love you.”
He told his followers to find him on Instagram instead because Twitter was just becoming intolerable. Somizi posed with a glass of bubbly in hand, wearing a denim overall which had Twitter users ridiculing his sense of fashion.
The over-the-top ensemble had red accents on the straps and comes with matching boots. A look Kim Kardashian would be proud of. Just not South African Twitter, who unanimously slammed his taste and told Somizi to refrain from telling people where he was from. Ouch!
His second look consisted of a pink metallic suit by Zamaswazi, a bespoke South African brand that creates custom high fashion suits. Somizi’s look was completed with pink Bathu sneakers and a top from Rich Mnisi.
Somizi initially took a break from Twitter in October after leaving his on-air radio and TV hosting gigs. A move he made following his estranged husband’s assault allegations. After the short hiatus Somizi’s return to the app for a day was enough to remind him that he cannot deal with the toxicity.
It might be a longer break from Twitter for the celebrity cookbook author and socialite after his last Tweet on Tuesday.
