Stupid Cupid: Why Valentine’s Day is overrated #GetRealAboutLove

I’m just not a fan of the commercialised, overrated and paganist celebration that is Valentine’s Day.   How could anyone be against a day that is dedicated to lovers and true love, you may ask? Simply because I don’t believe that this one day in […]

Escape the city with a spa retreat in Magaliesburg

By: Natasha Archary   Being a city slicker means that any opportunity to escape the fast-paced and stressful bustle is welcomed with open arms and packed bags. After a long, hardworking year, it was time to focus on relaxing and reconnecting with my partner. A spa retreat in the heart of Magaliesburg would be the perfect end to the year.   I find the coastal cities, stunning though they are, […]

What does the work wife/hubby relationship mean for your love life?

By: Natasha Archary   Recently a meme that was doing the rounds on social media caught my attention, “Your husband and his work wife are eating the leftovers you lovingly cooked last night and laughing about how you undercooked the rice.”   Sure, from the outside looking in it may sound hilarious. But when your spouse or partner gets unusually close to someone at the office, what does that mean […]

Single parent dating: Introducing your kids to your new love

By: Natasha Archary   I’ve been putting off writing about this for a good few months, so when I was roped into an on-air discussion with Dr Makhosi Khoza on dating as a single parent, I could procrastinate no more.   Dating in general is a ridiculous process. Maneuvering the maze of feelings that tug at heartstrings and have you questioning your judgement. Second guessing every decision, letting your guard […]

PRESS OFFICE

“Good Vibes Only” is a limiting way to approach life

By Nomali Cele People who know me will likely think, well, of course, you have a problem with positivity, which they are completely welcome to think. I am a pessimist somewhat and I battle with mental illness so being positive is something I have to work at. Often, I fail. I just can’t get on board with the “good vibes only” approach to things because it seems false. Nobody is […]

LIFESTYLE

Is office romance ever a good idea?

By Pretty Mashinini The workplace is not the most ideal place to pursue an intimate relationship, neither is going into a relationship with a close co-worker but what happens when you are unable to duck cupid’s arrow? You see this person every day of the week, there’s a natural chemistry. You both have similar goals and that’s enough to ignite a spark and start an office romance between the both […]
