Tickets for the highly-anticipated semifinal showdown between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates taking place this Saturday, 06 May at the Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria are officially sold out.
Underdogs Kaizer Chiefs will be going into this game looking to move a step closer to winning their first trophy in 7 years. Orlando Pirates on the other hand have been conceding too many goals lately and this remains a major concern ahead of Saturday’s game.
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says his players need to go into the game with self-belief.
“We all know that games like this are difficult for everyone. They are also unpredictable, so, as things stand Pirates are doing very well. We are coming into this game as underdogs so the only thing that is left for us is to believe in ourselves and go to FNB Stadium with one thing in our minds, to keep going and give our best and make sure we come out victorious,” he said.
“Losing every time before the Derby counts for nothing, to be quite honest,” he said. “It’s a different ball game altogether. We all know that you can’t rely on history. It’s about how we will apply ourselves, and also what Pirates are going to bring to us, so it’s not going to be an easy game.”
Gates open at 11h00 and Kick Off starts at 15h00. Fans are encouraged to make their way to the stadium earlier for safety reasons.
The other semi-final match between Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune FC will take place on Sunday, 07 May at the Danie Craven Stadium.
