Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has reportedly parted ways with Egyptian club Al Ahly.
According to Supersport.com, Tau’s departure follows Pitso Mosimane’s exit from the club.
The 28-year-old joined Al Ahly in 2021 to be reunited with Pitso Mosimane who coached him during his time at Mamelodi Sundowns.
He featured in 22 appearances for the iconic club, scoring 5 goals.
Percy Tau is yet to give an update on his next destination, but it’s believed he will return to the PSL.
Pitso Mosimane shocked football fans when he revealed that he would be parting ways with Al Ahly.
Speaking to Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi he said it’s normal for elite coaches to take a break.
“Sometimes you move to another continent or probably you step back and take a rest. Big coaches like Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola have done that.
“Zidane has won three champions leagues and he is not coaching. So I’m happy to take a break, and I’m happy to wake up at 11 am and I’m happy that I am not accountable to anybody at this point in time,” said the coach.
