Royal AM co-founder and businesswoman Mamkhize addresses claims that she hasn’t paid her players their salaries in 3 months.
On Thursday Mamkhize released a statement to the media where she offered clarity on the matter.
“I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent publication regarding my team’s salary payments.”
This comes after a publication alleged that she “hasn’t paid her players in 3 months.” Mamkhize put it on record that the claims are “false.”
“As a responsible citizen, I ensure that all my employees, including my players, are paid their due compensations within the stipulated time frame,” she said.
The Royal AM boss noted that the “irresponsible reporting has misled the public and shows a lack of journalism standards.”
Moreover, she pleads with media organizations and journalists to “validate information before publishing reports to avoid spreading misinformation and negative publicity.”
Royal AM is a Durban-based PSL club. Shauwn Mkhize and her son Andile Mpisane. purchased a license from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2021 for a reported R50 million fee.
