“I have to hit the ground running” – Lehlohonolo Seema on being appointed as Sekhukhune United’s new coach.
Sekhukhune United has announced the appointment of their new head coach Lehlohonolo Seema who has vowed to “hit the ground running”.
Seema was hired by Sekhukhune United on Monday, essentially luring him away from Polokwane City, their neighbor.
The 43-year-old former Basotho international, who left Polokwane City after leading them in 14 games since joining them just days before the new DStv Premiership season began, did not disclose the terms of his contract.
Seema becomes the fifth coach to lead the team in its three top-flight seasons, after Owen da Gama, McDonald Makhubedu, Kaitano Tembo, and Brandon Truter, who was fired earlier this month.

Seema has expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the chairman, Mr. Simon Malatji for having afforded me an opportunity to lead the team. I’m most appreciative of how the negotiations between my management team and the club were handled, in a respectable and candid manner. There is obviously a lot ahead of us and therefore I have to hit the ground running,”
