The technical staff of Bafana Bafana is down one member after one of the coaches resigned and chose to return to Europe!
Cedomir Janevski, Hugo Broos’ right-hand man, submitted his resignation, which the South African Football Association (SAFA) accepted.
The 61-year-old, who came to South Africa as Hugo Broos’ assistant, has extensive managerial expertise.
He has previously held coaching positions with Club Brugge and the national teams of Greece, Egypt, Serbia, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, and Cyprus.

SAFA CEO Tebogo Motlanthe, who verified the news, said the split was amicable because Janevski has a new opportunity in Europe.
“He had gotten the opportunity to go and coach overseas as the head coach. After discussing with the senior men’s national team head coach (Hugo Broos) we agreed that we should not deny him the opportunity,”
“Further to that, the coach has said that he is comfortable with having one assistant. So, going forward coach Helman Mkhalele will be the only assistant coach.” said Motlanthe.
