For many, the idea of a celebration often goes hand in hand with alcohol. Be it simply socializing on a girl’s night or enjoying the big game with the gents or a champagne toast at a friend’s special occasion, alcohol always seems to be part of the mix.
Alcohol has been known to be an excellent social lubricant, it pretty much gets the vibe going. Hard lockdown forced us to wrap our heads around the idea of sober celebrations.
“Are sober celebrations a thing for you? Or for a celebration, there must be alcohol?” Asks Tbose on The Best T in the City.
A listener tells Tbose: “A celebration without alcohol can happen but it’ll never be fun and it’ll never last. Some of us, in no time, will start coming up with excuses to leave. If it has alcohol we can stay until late at night.”
Here is what people are saying on social media:

When alcohol is what you're used to at parties and other celebratory events, it's hard to imagine a good time without it. It took a lot to escape that feeling.
Now I just try to enjoy the convos and the energy.#CanYouCelebrateWithoutAlcohol
Go monate. And I enjoy myself fully as long as the vibe is there.
