If you are planning your holiday, the big question you have to ask when it comes to your accommodation is usually whether to stay at a home rental room (Airbnb/ bnb) or to stay in a hotel.
There are quite a number of things to consider, especially if you want a fulfilling experience.
Hotels and home rental rooms (Airbnb/ bnb) have their own pros and cons.
The hotel sector has been disrupted by Airbnb, the world’s largest peer-to-peer exchange service for hospitality.
Some have suggested that Airbnb rentals be regulated in the same way that hotels are, and that Airbnb providers be subject to hotel occupancy taxes.

Airbnb on the other hand is safe since the people who rent out their spaces go through a verification process.
Anyone who wants to rent out their property on Airbnb must first go through a series of steps to authenticate their identification.
Phemoelo Motene spoke to Mandisa Mandisa Magwaxaza, Travel Marketing expert from Molo Mhambi Relations about the thing to consider when choosing your accommodation.

Magwaxaza says that the decision between a hotel and an air bnb accommodation is solely based on the kind of traveller you are and the need you have on your private journey.
“Sometimes as travellers, we need to be honest with ourselves, for example with me I like luxury. I like having my bed made, I like things, I want to tone down when I get back into my room. So let’s start right there, what kind of traveller are you? Do you like the bells and whistles, or do you want to keep things simple?”
‘The second thing is, what kind of holiday would you like? If you’re with family and kids and would like to drop them off somewhere and know they are cared for, do you want that extra help, or are you not as concerned about who’s attending to you?” says Magwaxaza,
Airbnb can be cheaper than hotels, but it can also be more expensive, depending on the sort of Airbnb unit and the hotel.
Because Airbnb does not have to pay for the overhead costs of a hotel or the general management of such a vast operation, it is generally less expensive than hotels.
