Pearl Thusi is not the first celebrity to threaten to sue a social media user for making defamatory claims.
In May, Bonang Matheba took legal action against Rea Gopane, a South African podcaster who claimed Matheba introduced ex-boyfriend, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, to cocaine. Matheba sued Gopane R500,000 and asked for an apology.
