Ntsiki Mazwai took a “smallenyana” break from social media only to return to Twitter posts accusing her of inciting violence.
“Father I was on a social media break and I come back to hear that I started the KZN protests,” she wrote.

Ntsiki’s name was brought up when a Twitter user blamed Jacob Zuma and MKMVA spokesperson Carl Niehaus for the looting.
“But we must remember who started this looting. Zuma. Ntsiki. Niehaus,” the tweet read.

Ntsiki was shocked by the accusation. “Why am I being blamed for protests???? Wasn’t I the one who wrote a blog to ask for Zuma release so peace can be restored??? How stupid are you being by accusing me?” she asked.

But several Twitter users did not agree.
Another user added that releasing Zuma would not be a good idea.
“Releasing Zuma would mean one thing, that political elites are immune to prosecution no matter what they do. It sound like a simple thing to relelase Zuma, but Zuma has multiplied.”
“Why are you calling people ‘stupid’? And how sure are you that if they release Zuma peace will be restored??? Oh and I thought you said people where looting because of hunger,” a third person wrote.
List of instigators
According to Police Minister Bheki Cele, 12 people have been identified as instigators of the unrest in the country.
He did not mention any names.
The ANC has also indicated that it is “concerned” about tweets shared by Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla.
“She will have to explain what her tweets mean. We are very concerned about Duduzile,” acting deputy Secretary-General Jessie Duarte said during a briefing.
Duduzane Zuma has also been accused of inciting violence. While he condemned the death and destruction, he came under fire for his comments about looting responsibly.
“For the people that are protesting and looting, please do so carefully and please do so responsibly,” he said in a video shared on social media.
The DA has laid a criminal complaint against Zuma’s children and EFF leader Julius Malema – who was temporarily suspended on Twitter this week.
