Zingiswa Losi has been re-elected as the Congress of South African Trade Union (Cosatu) president.
This will be her second term in office.
Losi was elected during COSATU’s 14th national congress.
Losi is a trained soldier who at some point served in the South African Defence Force for three years.
After resigning from the army, she was employed by Ford – a car manufacturer in Port Elizabeth – as an operator in the engine components and assembly division in 2002. She later became a quality inspector.
She ran for the top post uncontested.
