There’s another multimillionaire Lotto winner!
The lucky winner reportedly walks off with an R8.5 million jackpot after spending just R50 on a Quick Pick ticket.
According to the National Lottery operator, iThuba, South Africa’s latest multimillionaire is from Nomathamsanqa in the Eastern Cape, just 80km from Gqeberha.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Usave store and iThuba is urging the public to check their tickets to come forward and claim their winnings.
Just last month, iThuba reported that the R100 million Lotto was won by one person, making it the second-highest Lotto winnings in South African history.
A KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) mom came forward to claim the R107 million National Lottery winnings which was drawn on 03 August.
Ithuba confirmed that the winner purchased the ticket at Pick n Pay in Gauteng using her FNB Banking platform.
Lotto players are reminded that they have 365 days to check their tickets and claim their winnings.
