Sony Honda Mobility is an automotive company created by Sony Group and Honda Motor Company to collaborate on a car brand of the furture, Afeela.
The prototype was unveiled earlier this year. Both the Afeela and the BMW’s iVision Dee were on show at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Afeela is a brand that aims to have the driver feel the mobility of the tech as an intelegent entity. It also aims to have mobility that can feel people and society through new technology.
This of course means that the car aims to be self driven while offering entertainment and like all AI, it will evolve with useful user feedback.
The car boasts 45 cameras that offers 360 oval sensors and advanced driver assistance.
A media bar replaces the usual grille. Information prompted to display includes the weather, battery power and even the soccer score.
Cameras replace your side mirrors and all rearview activity is displayed on either side of the cabin screen.
With Sony onboard, infotainment is expanded with a Sony 5 console control to play games and movies, music and colouring mobility to your taste are part of the experience.
The car will be mass produced. Sony Honda Mobility will accept pre-orders in 2025 and North America will be the first to receive shipment in Spring 2026.
