- Police are appealing to the public for information that could help them locate Hlengiwe Buthelezi, who is linked to the murder investigation of media personality Warrick Stock, known as DJ Warras.
- Buthelezi is the girlfriend of alleged mastermind Victor Majola and was initially arrested in connection with the case before being released.
- Majola’s case was postponed to 18 September after his legal representative told the Johannesburg High Court that he had not received full funding to continue representing him.
Members of the South African Police Service have appealed to the public to help them find a person of interest in the DJ Warras murder case.
Hlengiwe Buthelezi is also accused of being involved in the 2025 murder of media personality Warrick Stock.
Stock was shot and killed outside the Zambesi Building in Central Johannesburg on Reconciliation Day. Two people have since been arrested for his brutal murder, with one suspect already serving time after entering into a plea deal with the state.
Mozambican national Joaquim Armando Pacula pleaded guilty to charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and contravening the Immigration Act.
He also admitted that he shot and killed Stock in exchange for R25,000.
Meanwhile, the alleged mastermind in the case, Victor Majola, is still before the Johannesburg High Court.
Majola, who is a taxi boss, appeared in the dock alone on Thursday, 19 August 2026, where his case was postponed to 18 September 2026 after his legal representative told the court that he had still not received full funding to continue representing Majola.
Who is the woman wanted by police?
The woman being sought by police is the girlfriend of Victor Majola.
Buthelezi was initially arrested for her involvement in the case but was released.
Police are pleading with anyone who may have information about her whereabouts to come forward.
