People have been standing in queue for up to 30-hours in order to view the Queen’s coffin lying in state.
Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin will remain at Buckingham Palace until Wednesday afternoon, 14 September. It will then be moved to Westminster Abbey, the Royal Church via a procession.
Earlier this week, the late Queen’s children stood guard around their mother’s coffin, while members of the public paid their respects to the longest reigning monarch.
According to reports out of Britain, people from across the world have been standing in line for a glimpse of the Queen’s casket.
The Queen’s coffin will be lying in state for a further 4-days at Westminster Hall, where hundreds of thousands of people are expected to pass through.
It is estimated that over 750 000 people will pay their final respects to the Queen.
Security remains tight and those wishing to make their way into the palace and church will be subjected to the strictest security checks.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully on 08 September in Balmoral, Scotland at the age of 96.
She reigned for 70-years and her passing has meant her son, King Charles III will now inherit the throne, sovereign title and role as Head of the Commonwealth.
Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will take place on September 19.
