Cellphone data analyst Colonel Lambertus Steyn testified that there were no calls from any of the occupants inside the Khumalo house to either police or emergency services after Senzo Meyiwa was shot.
The occupants of the house included, Kelly, her sister Zandie, their mother, Ntombi Khumalo, Zandie’s boyfriend at the time, Longwe Twala, and two of Meyiwa’s friends – Mthokozisi Thwala, who is also the cousin of Meyiwa’s wife, Mandisa Mkhize; as well as Tumelo Madlala, Meyiwa’s childhood friend.
Steyn who made the bombshell revelation that Meyiwa’s girlfriend at the time of his death, singer Kelly Khumalo had received two calls from one of the men accused of murdering the footballer, last week, said he’d checked the cellphone records of all occupants who were in the house that night.
The analyst and investigation officer said data that was analyzed from cellphone downloads on a CD, containing information about targets, revealed that the gospel singer, and Meyiwa’s girlfriend at the time of his death, had been called twice by accused No.5, Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli.
“I did check, and I couldn’t find any number of the police, not even 10111 on any of the phones in our position which was in our analysts’ database.”
